Steven was commissioned to carry out aerial tree assessments, alongside another climber, to assess the Potential Roost Features present on various sites ahead of works to services in the area.

The surveys included three visits to all sites to climb the trees present and inspect all Potential Roost Features (PRF). Each PRF was inspected three times during the peak survey season, May to August, to provide an overview of the likely presence of bats in the trees. The surveys provided supporting information for future works on the sites and advised where Natural England licences were required.

During the surveys one bat roost was identified and found to be used by natterers and common pipistrelle bats.
