Charlotte's Ice Cream Parlour

Planning permission was being sought for the demolition of the existing buildings at the previously closed Charlotte's Ice Cream Parlour and the re-development of the site into residential housing.

Steven carried out a Preliminary Ecological Appraisal (PEA) of the site using UKHab classifications and including a Preliminary Roost Assessment (PRA) of the buildings on the site.

Steven then returned to the site during the peak bat survey season, May to August, and carried out bat activity surveys of the buildings on the site, in line with Bat Conservation Trust Good Practice Guidelines (2016). No bat roosts were identified within the buildings and therefore the findings were prepared into a comprehensive report to support the planning application.
